The Muses are a series of portraits that I have painted of my housemates in Tucson, Az. The Muses 2 features one of my best friends Erin sitting casually on the armrests of a black leather chair looking out with a cigarette in her hand.
Inspired by a photo shoot, I have used The Muses to learn how to paint portraits, fabric textures, leather, and hair. Every time I paint a portrait I strive to capture the perfect likeness of my model. Painting those that I know and love is fun and challenging because it is uniquely rewarding when the painting looks just like them. ;)
This is an open edition giclée print on paper. The painting’s original size is 18”x24”. The product is printed through Gelato and is shipped unframed.
