The Muses are a series of portraits that I have painted of my housemates in Tucson, Az. The Muses 1 features one of my best friends Issy posing beautifully in a black leather chair looking at a cigarette in her hand.
Inspired by a photo shoot, I have used The Muses to learn how to paint portraits, fabric textures, leather, and hair. Every time I paint a portrait I strive to capture the perfect likeness of my model. Painting those that I know and love is fun and challenging because it is uniquely rewarding when the painting looks just like them. ;)
This is an open edition canvas print. The original painting is acrylic on canvas and the original dimensions are 18”x24”. The product is printed through Gelato and will be on stretched canvas.
